A thrift shop find!!

Truth be told sometimes I get a little envious when I see other bloggers show their thrift shop finds. But that's all in the past now. My son was looking for something at the thrift shop and I went with him and lo and behold I spotted this across the store. As soon as I picked it up a woman came up behind me and asked if I knew what I had there. Jadeite Jadite Fire King Oven Ware. I got both pieces for $3.00. They only problem was they Sharpied the price on the bottom. Any one know how to remove Sharpie?

Darling cupcake but OH MY GOSH! You found Jadite at a Thrift Store. SCORE. Sorry...I'm super excited for you. Try fingernail polish remover on the sharpie. Or what about soaking it in some oxyclean and warm water or maybe vinegar.

Alcohol. At least that's how I get it off my quilting rulers. :-)

PS I'm really jealous of your Jadite!

White spirit or surgical spirit should remove the marks. Oh me oh my they look straight out of Emerald City in Oz. What marvellous finds! You will have to go to Thrift Shops with your son more often. :-)

Well it is beautiful. Good for you. I'm the jealous type when I see thrift store finds, too. But once in a while we win one like this.

great find. I was going to suggest alcohol too. that is kind of dumb to put the price on like that.
