I forgot to show a Christmas gift that I made. Another set of placemats and pot holder. I also wanted to show one of the many dishcloths I have made using instructions from Amandajean's blog www.crazymomquilts.blogspot.com There is a large chain fabric store that I usually never go to. It takes forever to get fabric cut and then check out. Plus they cut the fabric all crooked. But I was there buying buttons and saw the fabric with the fruit and the brown polka dots. And --- I saw this fabric - which was just too cute to pass up. So I feel a little guilty about not patronizing my local quilt shops but the house fabric with my coupon was only $3.80 a yard! At that price my moral stand on patronizing local businesses is a little shaky.

Hi Lynn! Were you meaning to show a picture of your fabric?

all of it is sooo cute! I know what you mean about the large fabric store and the dilema of the cost being so nice with the coupon. I usually get the coupon fabric only if it's the nice quilting fabric which they hardly ever have anyway. otherwise the quiltshop is where I head for the quality fabric. what fabric did you use for the dishcloth, and which instructions did you use for it? (I couldn't find dishcloth instrustions on your friend's blog)

this post was perfect timing because I just signed up for a swap @ http://foxglovesfabricandfolly.blogspot.com/ you might want to check out!

What a lovely present you made.

I have the same thing here in the UK. Fabric is about £10-£12 a metre (39") but I can get it for a lot less than that by buying on-line from the US. I want to support local businesses, but where they buy in the fabric, they get slapped with such huge import duty, that it gets passed on to the buyer.

Thanks for popping in- it's been mad-busy here so I'm only just catching up with Blogland.

I like those fabrics, the house one is really cute and I love the polka dots. That is a pain though that they cut crooked!
