Adventures in staple gunning and spray painting (part one)

I love Connecting Threads and in particular I loved this new line that came out a couple of months ago http://www.connectingthreads.com/collections/Hello_Sunshine_Quilting_Fabrics__L177.html?intmedid=A-CollectionBox-177 When I saw it I knew I needed some for my laundry room. I've had this old washboard that I inherited years ago (that's painters tape on the scrubby part.
A little paint and a hanger on the back with a fussy cut piece of fabric and I have a new fun thing to hang in my laundry room ( I spend lots of time in there).

really a great idea.
I have an old washboard from my husband's grandmother. It has some cross stitch in it from many years ago.

Clever and adorable. Ohio is the only place left that makes washboards. There is a washboard festival in the town. :o)

What a lovely way to make something so old and useless into a pretty decoration. Well, I hope it's useless!
