Butterflies!

It's fun to sometimes do a quilt with another friend/blogger. Melanie www.houseelf-doings.blogspot.com and I made this butterfly quilt together. I lagged a bit on it while I recovering from my knee surgery, but this past week with encouragement from Melanie I got it done. I wanted to use up some batik scraps I've had for a long time (years). I'm really happy with it. One day I may make another one, wouldn't this be cute in pinks for a little girl's room? Go and take at look at Melanie's, it's adorable!

Such a happy and pretty quilt. Sometimes we need a little encouragement and I'm nice you have Melanie. Now I'm off to visit her butterflies.

I love the colors and the pattern. You have to smile just looking at it. Everything about it speaks of sunny days and summer.

It is totally wonderful Lynn. The batiks are perfect for it. The pattern really suits the fabrics you chose. Batiks are so like butterfly wings. Well done. You managed it in spite of the knee surgery and the horribly hot weather. Well done!
