We are expecting some icy weather. I am prepared and don't need to leave the house for days. I have meals planned for the next several days. This is a big deal for me because I go the food store every other day.

I have my treadmill plugged in ready to go, lots of snacks. Hmmm these seem diametrically opposed to each other.

Some new bins needed to help sort my fabrics for my annual New Year's sewing room reorganization.
Tons of old fabrics

New fabric that I bought at the quilt market in Sanford on Saturday.
Did I mention when I was there I saw Cathi from Shakerwood Primitives www.shakerwoodquilts.blogspot.com . I saw some other non-blogging friends and did I bit of shopping too.

I am finally taking down our tree today. Here's a question: Why does everyone want to help put it up, but no one wants to help take it down?

These three are who I am talking about. They love putting the tree up, but taking it down is another story.

One more thing to share that I meant to at Christmas. We live no where near the water, but a house in our neighborhood had this on their front lawn. I think I really like it anyway.

It sounds as if you're ready to enjoy the icy blasts; hope you've got lots of old films ready as well.

Those outdoor decorations would certainly make me smile. The rule in my house is I do all the decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping, mailing but I don't do the tree. Mr. Creations puts it up and takes it down. Seem fair. :o) Stay warm and happy sewing and treadmilling and snacking.

I love that toaster fabric. I'm sorry I didn't see it! The boat is great. Would have been fun to see it. :-)

I took my tree down the day after Christmas because we were stuck in the house because of snow. I told my husband I was going to throw it away because I do not ever want to put one up again. Next year I may put up one of those teeny ones.

What a cute dinghy all lit up!

I need to have a tidy up before I have a reorganisation. So much dust seems to have accumulated with the decorations. Still have a chandelier to clean, and spider webs to tackle.

Stay warm, Lynn. I haven't found many folks except moms who like to take the tree down. That cake looks like a tasty snack!

Cute fabric. I am going to Statesville this end of the month. Cathi said she was going to be there too.
I love those seaside decorations.

You're funny. Treadmill and chocolate cake - well that could balance out. Love your photos.
