The journey of a ufo

2 years ago I googled 'split 9 patch' and found a tutorial on one of my favorite blogs www.snippetsofaquilter.blogspot.com . I used a pack of Christmas Charms that I had and sewed the top together. Since it was a Christmas quilt and it was February I put it on my ufo pile to finish later.

Last year I quilted it and didn't have it ready for Christmas, so I put it aside.

This year I put the binding on and finally it's done!!

For anyone who wants to know it's on the sidebar here as 'charm square quilt':

Thanks Wendy for sharing this tutorial!

It may have taken a while but you got it done and it's very festive. Love the striped binding. Congratulations on your finish.

Very nice! I love the colors too. Did you just use the charms or did you have to add fabric?
