I've haven't had much time to sew this summer(that makes me sad). But I have managed to finish my blocks for 15 minutes www.15minutesplay.com a day group.

I love these blocks, they make me happy.
This weekend I plan to add the corner squares on all of them like this one.

More art museum inspiration - wouldn't this make an interesting quilt?

Has anyone else noticed an abundance of butterflies this summer (giving credit where it is due - dd#2 was the photographer - my pictures never turn out as well as hers!)

Your blocks are scrappy happy. I love them. I can never manage to get a butterfly to stay still long enough for me to photograph. Very pretty.

I can see why the blocks make you happy, they're so colourful and abandoned. The pictures look like good inspiration. I saw some pictures in an art gallery in Edinburgh that got me thinking.

Love your happy blocks Lynn they are gorgeous.

Seriously love your butterfly pic. We joke that taking butterfly pics is a route to insanity as they never stay still long enough for my camera.

Scrappy Snowballs, how fun.
I have noticed the butterflies. I even mentioned it to my husband that there have been a lot more than last year and that makes me happy.

Hi Lynn, I've been thinking about you and my other Eastcoast friends this week, hoping that the worst of the storm passed you by. That's a very cheery quilt and an excellent butterfly photo. DD should be proud!

Love your post of color. Yes! that would make a great quilt. Love fabric and I love blocks with lots of different ones in them.
