Melanie www.jellybeanangel2.blogspot.com and I are doing the Christmas Story together. Sorry I didn't post yesterday Melanie. All those little 1 1/2 inch squares and strips. Sometimes I have a problem with accuracy. I need to remember that with strips that are 1 1/2 inches even being a smidgen off will make a difference. Wish me luck getting them all together! I haven't done much applique in the past, but I'me really enjoying this so far.

Your applique looks like fun. I'm not terribly accurate at the best of times, even with a quarter inch foot, so tiny squares like that would probably defeat me!

This is really cute! And yes, those little strips can be hard to make accurate! I have found that if I sew with a scant 1/4", then trim to the correct size if needed. It's a lot more work, but worth it!
Oh gosh. This is so cute. I think I love the christmas balls the best.
It looks great so far! I like making things a little longer or wider if I can. Then I can just chop it off to make it fit!
