My oldest UFO

I've shown this before - it's my oldest UFO - I started it when I was 9.

I found it several months ago and had planned on finishing it until I realized that some of the transfer lines had faded. Stephanie www.loftcreations.blogspot.com listed this pattern on her ebay store and I bought it!
And then she directed me here http://www.keepsakequilting.com/products/search/Holly%20Hobbie.htm
After 30(some) years I can finish it!

What fun it will be to be able to finish it

I don't think I would have known where to look for a UFO that old. I'm capable of losing them when they are only a few months old.

Oh well done! I keep looking for simplicity 8291 (1980s) of a bias cut skirt and jacket, but no joy. My original one is held together with selotape and a prayer. It is wonderful that youy are finally able to finish your Holly Hobbie.

I still have a Holly Hobbie book- didn't she have wonderful adventures?

Well, it's nice to know someone has a UFO older than one of mine! Or is it true you're only a teenager and 9 wasn't that long ago? Neat that you can finish it because it looks very cute!

Hi Lynn!
that's great that you are going to finish up your holly hobby after all this time!
remember last year when you said we should do a pumpkin swap this fall? do you still want to, or is this year too busy?

I don't have the pattern for this but I did embroider it a long time ago. I had it professionally framed and it still looks great. It was for my daughter who is nearly 29. I have it, maybe I will give it back to her if and when she has a little girl of her own!!
