If you've been following along with Amy's quilt festival

you will see lots of gorgous favorite quilts. Here's mine - the second one I made about 17 years ago when my oldest daughter was little. I appliqued her hand prints on one peice of fabric - hearts too. I used scraps from clothes I had made her for the hand prints. It is worn and used. But I think it's my favorite.

Nice, now I have another wanna do project to do. I think that my grandkids hands would look cute on a quilt, now to get them to hold still while I draw around their pudgy little fingers...

I love the fact that the quilt catures a moment in time for you and the memories it evokes warm your heart. This quilt pattern is unique to your daugter's hand at whatever age she was when it was made - a treat from a fleeting childhood.
