vintage thingies thursday

I've been neglecting Vintage Thingies Thursday for a while. I thought of it today while I was looking for a certain scrap in this cookie jar that belonged to my mother. Cute isn't it? Chocolate Chip cookies used to live in it - mmmm. Now fabric scraps live there - mmmmm.

Very cute cookie jar. I used to collect them, but had to give that up, ran out of room.

Does this mean you spend more time in the sewing room than in the kitchen? :-)

Hia Lynn yes I was totally gobsmacked when I saw my blog post on someone else's site. They hadn't even asked!

I tried various emails to the site -all bounced back, so I then tried the Internet Service Provider Dream Host. They insisted they wouldn't act on common sense but I had to prepare a DMCA letter for them to do a thing. Luckily I found a template for one on-line. Once they got that they deleted the post.

In the meantime I contacted as many people as I could whose posts were also on this site and told them who to complain to. My guess is that quite a few people did and that is why the whole site was taken down.

It's been quite a day!

How are you?
