I took my first quilting class when I was pregnant with my second baby--she turns 27 this April. I made a sampler quilt--hand stitched. All 12 blocks are completed and I made 3 rows of 4 blocks and I stopped. I think I've only looked at it twice since then--each time we moved to another house!
I wonder if I'll ever finish it...Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14360200404602183225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668941752575032117.post-17700988643745835972009-02-04T11:53:00.000-05:002009-02-04T11:53:00.000-05:00I only have one though my quilting table is full o...I only have one though my quilting table is full of items to be quilted. I took an applique class at a wonderful little quilt shop in Harvard Square (Cambridge, MA) and appliqued a gingerbread man to a square ... and that's as far as it went - no batting, backing, quilting, binding - but it was hanging on my sewing room wall for a while with quilt show pins on it. Now that I recall it, and I actually think I know where it is, I should really haul that out and finish it! Thanks for the incentive!suzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13432352442859238887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668941752575032117.post-73602448907594570812009-02-03T07:19:00.000-05:002009-02-03T07:19:00.000-05:00Well how could I resist? :-) Happy Day!Well how could I resist? :-) Happy Day!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12561892583686450813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668941752575032117.post-32945806251819823672009-02-03T06:05:00.000-05:002009-02-03T06:05:00.000-05:00oh and I forgot to mention the most important thin...oh and I forgot to mention the most important thing - congratulations on your 100th post - mammoth effortDAWNIEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12448991628575442182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668941752575032117.post-61559115111780510662009-02-03T06:04:00.000-05:002009-02-03T06:04:00.000-05:00Hi Lyn, my oldest UFO would be 16 years old - it w...Hi Lyn, my oldest UFO would be 16 years old - it was a quilt which I was paying someone else to complete as I didnt know how to do patchwork at the time, and she took off from the shop and took it with her. I managed to chase her interstate and tracked her down and demanded it back, as I had half paid for it and wanted something for my money - hence I am still working on the blocks, as once I got into quilting, I got distracted my too many patterns, that the basic "block" designs were just left on the backburner. Thanks for reminding me - I will have to get this out this year and complete.DAWNIEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12448991628575442182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668941752575032117.post-61706636481061224842009-02-03T00:08:00.000-05:002009-02-03T00:08:00.000-05:00Happy Blogiversary, Lynn. A few months before the wedding they had an almighty row and called the whole thing off. they haven't spoken since. I asked him if he wanted the quilt as I would finish it for him but he decided to keep it as a wedding gift for the future. Triuble is the swine is enjoying playing the field and there's no wedding in sight so I've got no motivation to finish the quilt.

Congrats on your 100th post

Love and hugs Gina xxxGinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16302065755663279757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668941752575032117.post-8853200662841636072009-02-02T14:05:00.000-05:002009-02-02T14:05:00.000-05:00Hello Lynn, I do hope you manage to get someone to...Hello Lynn, I do hope you manage to get someone to join in on your PIF.
